Hi, everyone! I'm looking for a few good recipe ideas for dessert next July 4. This year we stuck with boring red, white and blue pudding pie and no one bothered to touch it. Next go-round I'm hoping to have a few takers, at least! :-)

Would it be okay to give my toddler daughter a sparkler to hold next July 4? She will be two at the time, so I was thinking it would be okay, but my mom isn't so sure--and if she doesn't approve, it's not going to happen! ;-)
Our family will be visiting Philadelphia very soon, and we have an 8-year-old who's very interested in American history. Does anyone have any recommendations for destinations to visit--other than the Liberty Bell?
